Greetings!
from Mrs. Jeserski and Casey
******************************************
Take pride in what you do.
Take responsibility for your education.
Be on time and prepared for class
All work is due at the beginning of the class on the day it is due. If it is not passed in at that time NO CREDIT will be given. The student is still responsible for doing the assignment, as homework is designed to reinforce what is learned in class. Remember that you are in the seventh grade now, and you should be developing good habits for now and the future.

NOTE:
I sent a letter to Soho Press (Word Stems: A Dictionary)
suggesting that perhaps they should look into reprinting
the book and/or putting it into an e-format. (This was
a suggestion from a parent!!!)
I received a reply from Mark at Soho Press who said
he likes the idea. He is going to bring it up at the next
editorial meeting! Maybe, Just Maybe there will
be some good news! I will keep you posted.

Reading Workshop
Reading Workshop is a time for students to concentrate Once the daily reading log is finished and the mini lesson is completed, the students will have quiet time to work on one of four things: 1. Read silently 2. Work on weekly word stems 3. Work on writing letter essays for their completed books. During Reading Workshop students may be putting their notes
4. Read and comment on the weekly nonfiction article on the blog.
All students will be quiet and work at one of these tasks. It is a good time
