Connecticut Mastery Testing

The Connecticut Mastery Test will be administered to the seventh and eighth grades in March.  Testing will begin March 5 and continue through March 30. We have planned the testing sequence to have no more than two tests per day.

It is essential that all students be at school on time during these testing dates.  Please refrain from scheduling appointments that would take your child out of school during this time.  Although makeup sessions will be scheduled, the scores of your child’s testing data may be compromised by his/her absence.  The CMT data for your child becomes part of his/her permanent record and we share with you a committed interest in your student’s academic success.

ALCOA Specail Program -  Make an Impact: Change Our 2morrow (CO2)

-       Make an Impact: CO2 is sponsored by the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions and Alcoa Foundation as part of their overall commitment to the environment and making a difference in the communities where Alcoa operates.

-       The program engages teachers, students and parents in learning how to use energy more efficiently by visiting the Make an Impact website and completing the carbon calculator and energy efficiency checklist.

-       The participating schools in five communities across the country will compete to win a $5,000 grant or one of four $1,000 grants from Alcoa Foundation.

-       The winning schools are determined by the highest number of Make an Impact carbon calculator and student checklist completions, as a percentage of the student body population. There will be one winning school per community.

-       For more information on the program and additional resources for you and your children/students, visit www.alcoa.com/makeanimpact.
